CJIS Project Manager – Lee County Florida State Courts, Twentieth Judicial Circuit, Administrative Office of the Courts Fort Myers, FL 33901 JOB SUMMARY
This position, operating with general supervision from the CJIS Director, is responsible for the management of numerous technology-related projects of various size and scope in the 20th Judicial Circuit with regard to time and resource usage by utilizing proven project management practices, policies, and procedures. This position works cooperatively with the staff members of the CJIS Consortium agencies (Administrative Office of the Courts, Public Defender’s Office, and State Attorney’s Office), CJIS Programmer/Analysts, and others to gather project requirements and to assist the agencies with training and implementation of CJIS programs, systems, and features. This position requires the individual to possess effective leadership and organizational skills as well as excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. The CJIS Project Manager is a member of the CJIS Department.
A CJIS Project Manager’s primary responsibilities include the following: (1) Project Management (2) Documentation and Training (3) Interface with Vendors (4) Facilitate the Creation of Electronic Feeds/Interfaces
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management:
Serve as project lead for multiple simultaneous projects of varying size and complexityManage project team members in their assignments to successfully complete deliverables and implement technology-related solutionsGather and document business requirements from multiple agencies and stakeholders, whether within or outside of the CJIS ConsortiumAssist the CJIS Consortium agencies with the creation of statements of work, goals, objectives, major deliverables, training materials, etc. related to the development and deployment of technologies and systemsManage the testing of systems and solutionsDevelop system review schedules, audits, and test plans for each projectTrack all issues and their remediation for each systemProvide periodic reports containing pertinent information such as needs, critical issues, and releasesTravel throughout the circuit as needed2.
Documentation and Training:
Create training and technical documentation for software and systems developed in-house as well as vendor-provided software and systemsAssist CJIS Consortium agencies and other agencies (such as law enforcement) in creating training materials and conducting training sessions for software and systems supported by CJIS3. Interface with
Vendors:
Work with vendors to ensure the timely and correct implementation of systems, enhancements, and bug fixesTest changes to vendor-provided systems and supply timely feedback regarding the test resultsCoordinate production system releases between the vendor(s), CJIS staff, the CJIS Consortium agencies, and possibly other agencies for vendor-provided systems4. Creation of Electronic Feeds/Interfaces:
Coordinate between the CJIS developers and outside agencies with whom we wish to interfaceAssist in the design, validation, testing, and implementation of feeds/interfaces

Security Awareness Training – level 4A valid Florida driver license is required.
Project management-related certifications highly desired.
SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.

LANGUAGE
