$53.7K – $64.3K a year 2 days ago Qualifications Master’s degree High school diploma or GED Bachelor’s degree Senior level 4 years Full Job Description Department Campus Recreation Responsibilities Provides overall direction, management, and administration for daily maintenance and custodial operations for Campus Recreation indoor and outdoor facilities to include the Leach Center, Fitness Movement Clinic, Main Campus Fields, Rec SportsPlex, Westside Courts, Tully Gym, Speicher Tennis Center, Harkins Band Field, and FSU Lakefront Park. Evaluates, initiates, assigns, and supervises repair and maintenance to sophisticated mechanical systems, air handling systems, pumping and control systems, electrical systems, fire control systems, and turf fields. Coordinates and inspects all facility buildings to be in compliance with all state, local, and University safety and risk prevention guidelines. Serves as first point of contact for all emergency call backs for Campus Recreation, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fire alarm malfunctions. Manages the planning aspects of project development, including the preparation of facility programs and capital funding requests, maintaining and updating the department’s adopted Master Plan. Maintaining & expanding the Department’s archival resources. Assists Facilities in preparing Capital Improvement Plans, Department Master Plan & other reports related to Campus Recreation spaces. Directs development & implementation of long-range space planning functions. Serves as a member of the department’s senior management team. Assists Director and Senior Associate Director with strategic planning initiatives to ensure continuous improvement in practice, philosophy, and development of staff within the department. Provides additional leadership, direction, and makes recommendations on facility maintenance management, and maintenance operations for department. Develops and implements related guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures. Coordinates and supervises all minor facility projects and upgrades, and coordinates project implementation with Campus Recreation Associate Director of Facility Operations and related Assistant Directors regularly. Serves as point of contact with FSU Facilities Design and Construction staff on the coordination of all major facility upgrades, improvement projects, and contacting of vendors for bids. Serves as point of contact with external entities, to include contractors, vendors, and inspectors. Assists in the development of the Campus Recreation budget and oversees budgets specific for reporting lines. Ensures appropriate expenditure of all allocated funds. Contributes to other department, divisional, and University initiatives, as assigned. Qualifications Master’s degree and four of years experience related to facilities and/or grounds service; or a Bachelor’s degree and six years of said experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and ten years of experience. a combination of post high school education and experience equal to ten years.) Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Recreation, Sport Management, College Student Personnel, Student Affairs, or related field and four years of experience.
