The DOT Project Manager - Asphalt is responsible for overseeing and managing asphalt projects for the Department of Transportation (DOT).
This role includes coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing project budgets, and delivering high-quality results on time. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage asphalt-related projects for the DOT from initiation to completion.
Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and government agencies to ensure project specifications are met.
Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules while ensuring compliance with DOT standards.
Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.
Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and management.
Utilize project management software and tools to track progress and manage resources.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction, specifically in asphalt and paving projects.
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
Familiarity with project management software such as Procore, Revit, and Bluebeam.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
