This position is responsible for coordinating/administering trainings, and for assisting in the evaluation of tools. The Project Coordinator assists with the development and dissemination of parent resource materials and works closely with the Prevention Campaign Coordinator to ensure contract deliverables are met. Essential Tasks
- Recruits new groups for the Florida Circle of Parents model.
- Coordinates scheduling of training based on the Circle of Parents and Period of PURPLE Crying projects.
- Attends events, seminars, and conferences to inform and educate agencies and community partners and organizations about the Circle of Parents and Period of PURPLE Crying programs and other prevention efforts.
- Tracks and reports monthly and quarterly programmatic data.
- Provides technical assistance and resources to all existing groups, including parenting materials, to Florida Circle of Parents support groups and other partners throughout Florida.
- Serves on the National Circle of Parents network and participates in all National Circle of Parents activities and meetings.
- Assists in conducting research related to effective evaluation of parent support group success.
- Assists team with Child Abuse Prevention Month and other prevention campaign planning and activities as requested by the Executive Director.
- Assist in the development and coordination of the distribution of public awareness.
Qualifications Education requirements:
Requires at a minimum a bachelor’s degree in early childhood or family sciences, education, health education or related areas. Experience may substitute for area of study.
Special certifications and licenses:
Requires Driver’s License.
Technical knowledge and skills requirements:
Critical thinking, interpersonal communication skills, time-management, and problem-solving skills, fluency in Canva or other design programs, organization and planning abilities Experience requirements: Requires 2 years of work in a professional setting. Preference will be given to applicants with the following technical knowledge and skills: experience working with families, leading training, developing professional development, and providing technical assistance Physical Requirements Requires sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time, exerting up to 50 pounds of force on an occasional basis, and routine keyboard operations. Additional Information This position requires travel up to 20% of work time for conferences and training.
