Project Manager – FSU Libraries 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars Tallahassee, FL Department FSU Libraries Responsibilities Coordinates, plans, and manages projects that involve collaboration across different library divisions. Works closely with the Assistant Director of Administration and the senior leadership team. Assists in communication, coordination, planning, and follow-through related to the university libraries’ strategic plan. Oversees the entire project management lifecycle, from initiation to completion. Communicates with stakeholders and project teams ensures alignment, buy-in, and progress. Acts as the primary point of contact and facilitates interactions related to assigned projects. This includes engaging with team members, stakeholders, and other relevant parties. Develops detailed work plans, resource allocation strategies, project estimates, and status reports to help guide project execution and keep stakeholders informed. Identifies appropriate resources and creates schedules. Ensures timely project completion and efficient resource allocation. Applies established methodologies to maintain consistency with project management standards and university policies and procedures. Collaborates with subject matter experts, assists in developing proposals and business cases. Serves as a liaison between the FSU Libraries and other University departments. Creates guidelines and procedures for projects in the Libraries. Documents processes using the Libraries Wiki, LibDrive, and other resources. Uses project management processes and supporting software programs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and four years experience related to library services or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (

Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of and the ability to apply the principles and practices to strategically align tasks and people with organizational goals and objectives. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to meet project deadlines. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to review project work, quantities, costs, accuracy of specifications, completeness, and constructability. Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices. Knowledge of the principles and practices of project planning, development, and evaluation. Skill in preparing clear and concise reports, policies, procedures, correspondences, and other written materials. Ability to utilize conflict resolution skills. Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with minimal to moderate supervision.
