The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze costs and prepare accurate estimates for various construction projects. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget, contributing to the overall success of our operations. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create precise pricing models. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimates. Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and conditions, ensuring all factors are considered in the estimate. Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, implementing cost control measures as necessary. Review contracts and negotiate terms with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve favorable pricing. Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and project documentation for future reference. Assist in developing budgets and timelines for projects based on estimates provided. Skills Proficiency in construction estimating software, particularly HeavyBid and Bluebeam. Strong understanding of contract management and construction site operations. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform cost control assessments effectively. Knowledge of project management principles related to construction projects. Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents accurately. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and clients. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy in pricing and estimation processes.
