POSITION:
PROJECT CONTROLS MANAGER

Goal of position: The person in this position assists the daily operation of the company with the internal audit of all projects by implementing and overseeing project schedules and ensuring targets are met within the set budget and within the scope. Everyone at JITECH is encouraged to promote teamwork, engagement, and collaboration with peers.

Key responsibilities:

Using Microsoft Project, develop, implement, and maintain schedules for engineering projects. Allocate available resources to projects as needed to meet schedule deadlines. Monitor and maintain current project timelines, progress, and variations daily. Coordinate with project managers and report scope changes and potential delays. Monitor project timelines and adjust scheduled activities to maintain projects “on track.” Prepare project progress reports as needed by management team. Recommend actions to keep projects within budget and completed on time. Keep customers informed of project timeline variations and deadlines. Collect and document historical project scheduling data for future reference. Participate in the quality management program. Perform other administrative tasks as needed. Keep the work area tidy and clean without clutter.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in project management, industrial engineering or in a related field. Two years of experience in project scheduler in a related field. Advanced proficiency in project scheduling software, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. In-depth knowledge of the scope of projects within the industry. Advanced ability to evaluate project progress and facilitate interventions. Ability to work in a diversified team. Self-starter. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal skills. Fluency in English, Spanish is an asset.
