Welcoming, Innovative, Now, Discipline, Serve, Teamwork, Authentic, Responsible We are currently seeking a Project Manager for our Interior Projects to play a pivotal role in executing the operational, logistical, and budgetary aspects of interior design projects across the fleet. Focused on project delivery, this role ensures that the creative vision led by the Senior Manager of Interior Design is effectively realized on time, within scope, and on budget. Projects may include dry dock refurbishments, service repairs, maintenance, and capital improvements across multiple ship classes. This position demands strong organizational skills, critical thinking, proactive problem-solving, and a firm understanding of marine project operations. Responsibilities (Text Only): Lead operational execution of interior projects from initial kick-off through final project closeout, under the creative direction set by the Senior Manager of Interior Design. Supervise contractors and vendors during refurbishment activities and repair/maintenance projects shipboard, ensuring proper execution of scope, schedule, and safety standards.
Coordinate procurement processes:
request for quotes, price negotiations, order tracking, inventory management, and vendor payment schedules alongside purchasing teams. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverable schedules; manage and monitor progress to meet deadlines and milestones. Create and maintain project documentation systems: budgets, schedules, logistics trackers, inventory records, and lessons learned logs. Develop detailed scopes of work, ensuring clear alignment with project budgets, design intent, and operational needs. Develop specification standards alongside Interior Design Manager for refurbishment areas in compliance with IMO, USPH, Lloyds and ship standards. Track and manage project budgets, including forecasting, reconciliation, and reporting actuals vs. planned budgets at all stages. Liaise closely with Purchasing, Hotel Operations, and Technical teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery. Continued research and understanding of current and future regulations (IMO, USPH, and ADA) and related impact on refurbishment and hotel repair and maintenance projects. Proactively identify risks to timeline, scope, or budget and escalate issues as needed for mitigation. Review and analyze construction drawings, specifications, and compliance standards (IMO, USPH, ADA, Lloyds) to ensure operational adherence. Manage the project closeout process including final inspections, punch list walkthroughs, warranty documentation, as-builts collection, and closeout reports. Provide ongoing operational support to the Senior Manager of Interior Design by ensuring administrative tasks, financial reporting, and project logistics are executed smoothly. Perform other necessary tasks as required to support the Senior Manager of Interior Design and project teams. Qualifications (Text Only): Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Project management, or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in a project management role, preferably within the cruise ship industry or a similarly complex operational environment Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and project management software. Knowledge of AutoCAD and AMOS is a plus. Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions, balancing speed with accuracy to maintain project momentum. Proven ability to operate efficiently in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments, making confident decisions with limited information when needed. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in work output. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders. Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently. Ability to travel internationally or domestically up to 20%.
