This role involves overseeing end-to-end project delivery, managing cross-functional team performance, and ensuring project objectives are aligned with VA’s mission and compliance standards. The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

Lead all phases of project management initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure for DevSecOps related projects. Define and manage project scope, timelines, resource plans, and deliverables in alignment with stakeholder expectations. Partner with technical leads to support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and infrastructure modernization. Track and report on Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts) to monitor progress and identify risks early. Serve as the primary liaison between VA stakeholders and internal development teams, ensuring transparency and timely communication. Promote process improvements, governance, and quality assurance across delivery teams to uphold security and compliance. Coordinate with leadership to manage dependencies across products and align priorities within the broader portfolio. Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline. 8+ years of project management experience, preferably in a federal or healthcare environment. Demonstrated success leading Agile software development teams using DevSecOps practices. Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow. Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and secure development lifecycle practices. Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) and Kanban agile methods is highly desired.

Additional Qualifications:

SAFe Agilist or other Agile certifications. Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other Agile frameworks. Ability to obtain a government clearance
