Survey Project ManagerJob Description A leading multidisciplinary consulting firm is seeking a Survey Practice Lead to join its collaborative team in Florida. This leadership role is pivotal in managing and growing a regional survey department, applying deep expertise in surveying principles across a variety of project types. The ideal candidate will thrive in a technologically progressive environment and play a key role in staff development, client engagement, and business expansion. Responsibilities + Strategic planning and execution of survey operations, ensuring alignment with client goals and project timelines. + Drive business development by cultivating new client relationships and expanding existing accounts. + Oversee field crew scheduling, data preparation, and quality assurance of field data and deliverables. + Direct the creation and refinement of survey plans, legal descriptions, reports, and CAD outputs. + Conduct advanced analyses and provide technical oversight on complex survey assignments. + Interpret survey findings and ensure timely, accurate, and budget-conscious project delivery. + Champion the adoption of new technologies and software in both field and office environments. + Manage budgets, schedules, progress reporting, and billing for multiple concurrent projects. + Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing survey team. + Represent the firm in client and regulatory meetings, and contribute to proposal writing and scope definition. Essential Skills + 10+ years of combined field and office surveying experience. + Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson software. + Professional Surveyor License (or ability to obtain one in Florida). + Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships. + Experience with proposal development, cost estimating, and contract negotiation. + Strong skills in boundary analysis and quality control of deliverables. + Effective project management and team leadership capabilities. + Familiarity with field equipment including Total Stations, GPS, Laser Scanners, and Data Collectors. + Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills. + Willingness to travel for fieldwork and client meetings. + Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $110000.00 – $180000.00/yr.
