Job Summary The Economic Development Business Analyst supports the management of economic development projects and Site Readiness evaluations with the goals of generating new jobs, capital investment, and increased tax base for the communities Duke Energy Florida serves while encouraging revenue and load growth for the company to the benefit of Duke Energy Florida customers. The Analyst will assist economic development managers with project responses & site visits, the coordination of Site Readiness responses, & final presentations, the coordination of meetings & events, and economic development partner outreach. The Analyst will have the capability of working in coordination with the State President’s organization, Government & Community Relations, Large Account Management, and Power Grid Operations among others to communicate economic development activities, collaborate on projects, check site capacities/service timelines, provide rate estimates, prepare project proposals, organize site visits, and report results to leadership. Responsibilities Project management assistance Site Readiness Program management and coordination Internal liaison for project and site responses Support external partner relationship development Salesforce project data entry Storm role support Basic/Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance AND one (1) year minimum required related experience In lieu of degree(s) and experience listed above, High School/GED AND five (5) years minimum required related experience Additional Preferred Qualifications Preferred degrees: Business, Communication, Education, International Business, International Affairs, Economics Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to work independently Comfortable completing a variety of different tasks; non-routine A preference for structure Strong organizational skills An appetite for taking on new challenges Strong communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills Proficiency in Salesforce, Excel, Word, PowerPoint Working Conditions Hybrid Mobility Classification – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period.
