601 East Rollins Street Orlando, FL 32803 The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Orlando Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year The role you’ll contribute: The Healthcare Design and Construction Project Manager I (PMI) works under the Healthcare Design and Construction Project Manager Sr. II on all projects assigned. The PMI is responsible for leading the design and construction process and managing the use of consultants, vendors and contractors on multiple projects as assigned, interfacing with hospital executives, clinical and engineering staff, management of regulatory compliance, and commissioning of the building. Accurate and timely planning, analysis and execution of multiple small projects. Oversees the preparation of time and cost estimates for assigned projects, tracks projects against proposed timelines, updates project information to reflect actual progress, and escalates encountered situations to the appropriate area with detailed and accurate information. This role partners closely with AdventHealth team members, consultant designers, contractors, vendors, and other professionals throughout the project life cycle. The PMI actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Utilizes pre-construction understanding of operational considerations, consistently assesses project risks and formulates mitigation plans as needed. Successfully develops and updates project budgets as required utilizing “Project Budget Tracking Form.” Delivers projects in a timely and cost-efficient manner in accordance with the approved project scope. Effectively collaborates on multiple small projects. Leads project evaluation meetings and administrative reviews from conception to completion. Monitors the negotiation and bidding process; develops, manages, and delivers a project change control process as needed to ensure project team operates within the scope and change approval process. Coordinates the work of the Project Coordinator to assure the project is progressing appropriately, frequently visits job site throughout construction.
