JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for execution of both routine and special projects on behalf of the Park Services department. Responsible for driving engagement in recycling practices with key stakeholders across Universal Orlando Resort. Serves as a business solution analyst assisting frontline operators in the application of technology to solve business problems. Also manages the Park Services Administrative team and 3rd Party Vendors.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the planning and execution of projects outside the realm of normal day-to-day business. Duties to include performing business gap analysis, requirement evaluations, design and development, cost estimating, and installation plans with Universal Creative, Planned Work, 3rd Party Vendors, etc. Oversees in-park integration of projects to ensure operational expectations and show standards are met. Provides updates on schedule and progress of each project. Orchestrates capital requests for the Park Services department ensuring timely and accurate completion to departmental expectations. Manages the Park Services budget process for non-labor.
Responsible for resort-wide recycling efforts in Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay, CityWalk, and Back-of-House support areas throughout all shifts. Makes recommendations and implements quantifiable recycling initiatives.
Responsible for managing current and future digital systems to implement programs that will enhance the Park Services businesses. Acts as a liaison with operational leaders, IT, Business Development, etc to analyze business trends and operating procedures. Monitors 3rd party vendor service as necessary. Provides strategic enhancements to improve business needs with vendors. Serves as liaison and single point of contact for vendors in the development/maintenance of Park Service’s programs.
Oversees the Park Services Administrative team (Coordinators, Scheduling Specialists, etc) who support the ordering, administrative functions, clerical duties, scheduling, payroll, and attendance support department management.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
High school degree or GED is required.
Associate’s degree (AA) in Project Management or Business Administration is preferred.
EXPERIENCE
3+ years Sustainability Programming experience, Project Manager Experience, and Theme Park Operations experience required.5 to 7 years management experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
LEED AP or LEED GA certifications are preferred.
