As a Senior Project Manager (Transportation) in Orlando, FL, you’ll lead high-impact roadway and highway projects for Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and municipal clients. Beyond technical expertise, this role demands strong business acumen, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with maximum value for our clients and organization.
What You’ll Do:
Drive profitability
- Oversee project budgets, optimize resources, and turn projects into high-value investments.
Lead multidisciplinary teams - Manage engineers, planners, and designers to keep projects on schedule and aligned with business goals.
Serve as Engineer of Record - Take ownership of designs, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance, and successful project delivery.
Strategically manage project delivery - Ensure technical excellence while balancing cost efficiency and revenue generation.
Strengthen client relationships - Actively engage with FDOT, municipal agencies, and stakeholders to expand business opportunities.
Implement innovative solutions - Drive alternative delivery methods that enhance efficiency and project success.

Here’s what you’ll need
Bachelor’s (B.S.) or Master’s (M.S.) degree in Engineering or related discipline.
Active Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license, with the ability to serve as Engineer of Record
Minimum of 10+ years of progressively responsible Project Management experience on transportation design projects, including 5+ years of direct experience consulting with FDOT and municipal clients.
Demonstrated success in leading project teams to meet or exceed client expectations, utilizing project delivery tools and metrics to achieve budget, schedule, and performance objectives.
Proven ability to effectively lead teams of engineers/designers, facilitate clear written and verbal communication, and drive collaboration in a team-oriented work environment.
Experience designing roadway/highway facilities, overseeing similar transportation infrastructure projects.
Strong budget management, ability to track profitability, and expertise in managing project schedules to meet deadlines and milestones.
Working knowledge of FDOT Florida Design Manual (FDM), FDOT Standard Plans, and other applicable federal, state, and local design guidelines. Ideally, you’ll also have: Established relationships with FDOT District Five, Florida Turnpike and/or CFX, as well as local municipalities in Central Florida
Experience in limited-access roadway, toll road, and interchange design, including work on complex transportation infrastructure projects.
Direct experience leading or managing design-build projects
