Exempt Summary:
The Technical Services Project Manager role is imbedded within the Technical Operations Organization and is responsible for the promotion of safety and compliance initiatives. The Technical Operations Project Manager will manage all ongoing projects within the Technical Operations Organization.
Essential Functions:
Manages all phases of project management assigned to the Technical Operations Organization Responsible for working along with other team members within the Technical Operations division to ensure target deadlines are met for set projects. Manages the 777 initial cadre project ensuring that every department within the maintenance team meets all compliance requirements and deadlines. Track project deliverables using appropriate tools and ensure timely completion. Maintains strict compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards. Communicates effectively with stakeholders and provides regular updates on project statuses. Manages risk and mitigates potential impacts to project execution. Manages and leads project team members, ensuring high levels of competence and engagement. Prepares and presents project reports and key findings to senior management. Schedules and leads weekly meetings with Technical Operations management to ensure timely responses of all FAA correspondence. Coordinates all incoming FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) communication and formal written communication with FAA personnel on matters delegated by the Vice President Technical Operations. Coordinates with departmental managers and directors on development of comprehensive fixed strategies for Letters of Investigation, Voluntary Disclosures, SAFA reports and other formal responses. Identification of hazards and reducing operational risks through the Safety Risk Management program. Participation in the SMS (Safety Management Systems) Safety Action Team meetings and attendance at Safety Review Board meetings. Works with the Manager of Technical Publications to ensure the content of the National Airlines manual system is consistent, meets regulatory requirements, and interfaces with other manuals as appropriate. Assists the Vice President of Technical Operations with office management, meeting scheduling, meeting minutes publication, documentation, and calendar management. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience, Qualifications & Skills:
3 to 5 years aviation background and experience in technical operations required Bachelor’s degree in aviation related discipline preferred. Excellent written and communication skills 5 years of document management experience preferred. 2 years of Project Management experience required Proven ability to manage projects from start to finish Prior experience with technical manuals and reliability software preferred Prior experience with airline technical operations required.
