Position Specific Description As the Data & Analytics Lead , you will own the data infrastructure, analytics strategy and advanced modeling capabilities that power NextEra’s competitive intelligence efforts. Your expertise in data engineering, analytics, and forecasting will enable NextEra to make faster, smarter strategic decisions. From building predictive models to streamlining data pipelines, your work will shape how we assess market opportunities, anticipate risks, and sharpen our competitive positioning at scale.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and manage proprietary modeling tools to assess interconnection trends, competitor positioning, and market risks. Build and maintain forecasting models to predict market dynamics and uncover early signals of opportunity or congestion Structure and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to generate actionable intelligence. Automate and optimize data processes to improve efficiency and decision-making speed. Design dashboard and visualizations that translate complex analytics into intuitive insights for leadership. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure insights are relevant, data-driven and scalable.
What You Bring:
7+ years in data analytics, data science or market intelligence, ideally within energy, infrastructure, or related sectors. Strong fluency in SQL, Python, or R ; experience with forecasting techniques and machine learning is a plus. Expertise in data visualization platforms (e.g., PowerBi) and market modeling; GIS a plus Proven ability to transform complex datasets into clear, strategic insights that drive business action. Experience managing multiple data sources (internal and third-party) and building scalable data pipelines. A mindset for automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement in intelligence workflows. Job Overview Employees in this role develop and execute plans for new or enhanced generation projects. This job is responsible for resource allocation, schedules, cost and technical adequacy, ensuring the project or transaction is completed in the most cost effective and competitive manner. This position manages all aspects of the business deal and ensures the project is completed on time and within budgetary constraints.
