OVERVIEW
The Senior Project Manager oversees multiple projects throughout all phases, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, control, and closure. They collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure projects meet established objectives and work directly with clients to develop comprehensive project plans, execute deliverables, and resolve contractual matters. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for creating, managing, and tracking detailed project documentation, including project plans, scope statements, resource allocation, risk and issue logs, and status reports to maintain clear communication and ensure successful project outcomes. The Project Manager, Senior will:
Project Management:
Lead and manage activities across multiple projects, ensuring strict adherence to project management principles throughout all phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with various company departments to ensure projects meet defined scope, budget, schedule, and quality objectives.
Client Engagement:
Collaborate with clients to develop project plans, deliverables, and resolve contractual issues, maintaining transparent communication and managing client expectations effectively.
Project Documentation:
Create, maintain, and track critical project documentation, including detailed project plans, scope statements, resource allocation, risk and issue logs, and status reports.
Communication & Coordination:
Develop and implement communication plans to keep internal teams and external stakeholders informed about project progress, challenges, and successes. Efficiently coordinate resources to meet project milestones.
Risk & Issue Management:
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues to ensure seamless project execution and continuity.
Decision Making:
Exercise sound judgment to make key decisions that drive project progress and address obstacles, ensuring timely and successful delivery of outcomes.
Alignment with
PMO & PLM
Work collaboratively with the Project Management Office (PMO) and Project Line Management (PLM) to adjust project strategies, resource allocation, scheduling, and revenue recognition in line with client or company requirements.
Customize project management and support processes to meet the unique needs of vendors and external clients.
SECURITY AND PRIVACY DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIESIndividuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and
NIST 800-53.
Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high-risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training. The preceding functions are examples of the work performed by employees assigned to this job classification. Management reserves the right to add, modify, change or rescind work assignments and make a reasonable accommodation as needed. 4 years’ professional experience in project management within technological environments, preferably supporting large EHR implementations.
Understanding of vxVistA or other EHR systems, with the ability to quickly learn other company product functionalities to engage effectively with clients.
Demonstrates the ability to work effectively under tight timelines while maintaining accuracy and sensitivity.
Adjust and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines efficiently.
Excels in partnering across multiple departments and developing long-term, supportive relationships.
Identifies and coordinates appropriate internal resources to create project deliverables and documentation, overseeing projects to completion.
Communicates challenges, risks, and potential issues professionally, motivating internal teams while maintaining client satisfaction despite shifting priorities or timelines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), MS Project, and SharePoint.
Capable of managing high volumes of emails, in-person meetings, and conference calls.
Strong aptitude for understanding technical processes and quickly learning new software tools as needed. EDUCATIONBachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
