OVERVIEW

The Senior Project Manager oversees multiple projects throughoutall phases, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring,control, and closure. They collaborate closely with internaldepartments to ensure projects meet established objectives and workdirectly with clients to develop comprehensive project plans,execute deliverables, and resolve contractual matters.

Additionally, the Senior Project Manager is responsible forcreating, managing, and tracking detailed project documentation,including project plans, scope statements, resource allocation,risk and issue logs, and status reports to maintain clearcommunication and ensure successful project outcomes. The Project Manager, Senior will:

Project Management:

Lead and manage activities across multipleprojects, ensuring strict adherence to project managementprinciples throughout all phases: initiation, planning, execution,monitoring, control, and closure.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner closely with variouscompany departments to ensure projects meet defined scope, budget,schedule, and quality objectives.

Client Engagement:

Collaborate with clients to develop projectplans, deliverables, and resolve contractual issues, maintainingtransparent communication and managing client expectationseffectively.

Project Documentation:

Create, maintain, and track critical projectdocumentation, including detailed project plans, scope statements,resource allocation, risk and issue logs, and status reports.

Communication & Coordination:

Develop and implement communicationplans to keep internal teams and external stakeholders informedabout project progress, challenges, and successes. Efficientlycoordinate resources to meet project milestones.

Risk & Issue Management:

Proactively identify, assess, and mitigaterisks and issues to ensure seamless project execution andcontinuity.

Decision Making:

Exercise sound judgment to make key decisions thatdrive project progress and address obstacles, ensuring timely andsuccessful delivery of outcomes. Alignment with

PMO & PLM

Work collaboratively with the ProjectManagement Office (PMO) and Project Line Management (PLM) to adjustproject strategies, resource allocation, scheduling, and revenuerecognition in line with client or company requirements. Customize project management and support processes to meet theunique needs of vendors and external clients.

SECURITY AND PRIVACY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacyrequirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53.Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMPtraining to ensure compliance with all associated controls andresponsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties.

Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in thehigh-risk category will be required to undergo advanced trainingbased on their role and level of access. Individuals with access tomodify data and the configuration baseline will require furthertraining. The preceding functions are examples of the work performed byemployees assigned to this job classification. Management reservesthe right to add, modify, change or rescind work assignments andmake a reasonable accommodation as needed. 4 years’ professional experience in project management withintechnological environments, preferably supporting large EHRimplementations. Understanding of vxVistA or other EHR systems, with the ability toquickly learn other company product functionalities to engageeffectively with clients. Demonstrates the ability to work effectively under tight timelineswhile maintaining accuracy and sensitivity. Adjust and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines efficiently. Excels in partnering across multiple departments and developinglong-term, supportive relationships. Identifies and coordinates appropriate internal resources to createproject deliverables and documentation, overseeing projects tocompletion. Communicates challenges, risks, and potential issuesprofessionally, motivating internal teams while maintaining clientsatisfaction despite shifting priorities or timelines. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), MSProject, and SharePoint. Capable of managing high volumes of emails, in-person meetings, andconference calls. Strong aptitude for understanding technical processes and quicklylearning new software tools as needed.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and workexperience.

Desired:

Master’s Degree in a relevant field of study Profession certification in the clinical or technical specialtyrelated to the product assignment or a demonstrated aptitude foracquiring the necessary knowledge and experience appropriate to thetechnical level to needed to perform or work with clients assignedto the specialty
