Survey Project Manager Job Description We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Survey Project Manager to oversee and manage survey projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure that all survey projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and manage survey projects, ensuring all project objectives are met. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor project progress. Lead and manage a team of surveyors and support staff, providing guidance and support as needed. Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide regular updates on project status. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery. Prepare and present project reports and documentation to stakeholders. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment. Essential Skills Land surveying Project management Surveying Land development OpenRoads Civil 3D Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field Proven experience in project management, preferably in the surveying or construction industry Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in project management software and tools Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Knowledge of industry standards and regulations Additional Skills & Qualifications Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) Experience with GIS and CAD software Familiarity with modern surveying equipment Work Environment The work environment includes the use of modern surveying equipment and software such as OpenRoads and Civil 3D.
