JOIN OUR TEAM AS A PROJECT COORDINATOR II!
Responsible advanced clerical and accounting work. Duties include individual responsibilities as well as coordinating with a staff of planners, engineers and support staff. Essential Job Functions Assists/Supports Business Manager, in preparation, processing and administration of annual operating and capital improvement project budgets and asset acquisitions. Coordinates departmental and divisional business improvements projects, standard operating procedures, and Accela data analytics. Compiles, dictates and prepares Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) agenda and interdepartmental memos associated with Task Orders etc. Processes departmental payroll. Prepares intermediate reports as required. Prepares annual inventory reports as required. Manages webpages and coordinates updates to the departmental website. Assists in processing of final pay requests, final project costs, and the closing-out of projects outlined in Task Orders. Is able to relieve the schedule of the supervisor. Coordinates contracts and Notices to Proceed with Business Manager and acts as liaison to the Purchasing Department and Branch Fiscal office. Supports Business Manager, Accountant, and Development Application Services with departmental accounting activities as needed. Provides application support to customers with Accela inquiries. Coordinates Public Record Requests as needed. Performs related work as required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of business English, basic accounting, and office procedures. Ability to type, format and proof documents so they are ADA compliant, compose letters and memoranda for senior management and BOCC. Ability to research and maintain records, departmental contracts and P.O.s, and independently prepare agenda memos, new hire paperwork documentation, invoices, and reports. Ability to make arithmetic calculations with speed and accuracy. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, and Powerpoint). Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to make decisions in accordance with departmental regulations or policy. Minimum Requirements
PHYSICAL SKILLS
Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Associate degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years’ of experience in planning OR graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma and four (4) years’ of experience. Two (2) years’ of experience in a governmental or regulatory agency office environment.
