JOB DESCRIPTION

Manages large and/or multiple projectswith significant impact on business processes and technology usedfirm wide. Influences strategic direction and develops tacticalplans with substantial latitude. Provides comprehensive solutionsto complex problems and has extensive contact with internal clientsand the business. Manages complex projects from proposal andrequirements definition to project planning and implementation,using broad and extensive input from industry and/or business unitsubject matter experts.

• PMP or equivalent certification highlypreferred.
• Knowledge of the following:
• Application developmentand project life cycle methodologies and standards.
• Projectselection and approvals; budgeting and business case preparationand analysis; and project initiation and planning, including workbreakdown structures and forecasting.
• Concepts of riskmanagement, issue tracking, change management and requirementsgathering.
• Information technology support and technicaldocumentation.

Skills:

• Conducts preliminary investigation for allproject requests by reviewing requirements and specifications andtesting and by reviewing support and training plans to ensure theyare aligned with organizational priorities, business plans andobjectives.
• Provides a proactive interface between projectstakeholders and senior management team to ensure complete andaccurate definitions of business requirements and delivery ofbusiness applications.
• Identifies, defines and documents complexbusiness and technical requirements, processes and deliverables.
• Develops, prepares, presents and maintains project plans, includingstaffing requirements, cost estimates, detailed budgets and workbreakdown structures and schedules.
• Performs project riskassessments, including identifying key risk factors, providingeffective mitigation strategies and assigning contingency actionplans to both schedules and budgets
• Manages projects and teams,including applying established methodologies, using change controltemplates and processes; managing time and recording activitiesusing defined scheduling tools; monitoring budgets; coordinatingresource acquisition and utilization; serving as a liaison withinternal customers and external suppliers; and communicatingregularly with project stakeholders.
• Delivers systems onappropriate platforms in compliance with established technologystandards, including monitoring testing, executing qualityassurance checks and ensuring information technology acceptancecriteria is met prior to implementation.

Education:

• Minimum ofBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or applicable degree
