⚐ ⚑ ⚑ Assistant Project Manager

  • Commercial HVAC Contractor (Oviedo) compensation: Negotiable employment type: job title: Assistant Project Manager We are a Commercial HVAC Contractor for the Central Florida area (office in Oviedo).

We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to add to our team. This individual will have the ability to work independently as well as directly with the Project Management team from pre-construction planning through to the successful completion of projects. Knowledge and experience with analyzing blueprints, researching Specs, safety, commercial construction, scheduling, time-management skills, Vendor Relations, and Customer/Owner/General Contractor Relations are a required qualification. The ability to calculate accurate material/equipment costs and schedules with minimum guidance is a bonus. Qualified candidates bring with them a pleasant and professional demeanor toward clients and all levels of team members, with the ability and desire to work in a laid-back (but fast paced), small office setting.

Responsibilities:

Administrative requirements for assigned Projects (filing/data input/software use/emails/etc.) Examine and review all assigned Projects and communicate requirements with PM Assist with gathering and writing up POs for Vendor and Subcontractor Contract buy-outs for projects Create and Update Excel Spreadsheets/Reports for PM and Projects Order required Materials (take-off information given by PM and/or Superintendent) Work within scheduling parameters in an often fast-paced environment, to assist the PM on projects at differing stages of completion. Permitting, Scheduling and tracking inspections

  • maintain reports/logs Maintain open communication and required reports with PM concerning important project dates Update SmartSheet and Asana (cloud software) for each project Coordinate Material Orders and Subcontractors according to project schedule and PM guidance Evaluate and Print Drawings (REVs) Build and Maintain Customer/Owner/GC and Vendor Relationships (Client and Vendor Relations) Track Submittals, RFIs, Change Orders, and Closeouts/Redlines and communicate with PM on requirements Other office tasks as required•not all listed here •Looking for someone with experience in a commercial construction office (Mechanical/HVAC / Construction/GC) or estimating office•will train right candidate.

Must be able to pass a background and drug test
