Examples of Duties Project Development & Oversight:

Oversee all new project initiatives funded through the governmental grant for JSU-TV. Review and monitor the development of new programming, including television shows, podcasts, and radio programs, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.

Program Compliance & Monitoring:

Ensure all stations (JSU-TV, WJSU, and SIPP FM) remain in compliance with grant guidelines and regulatory requirements. Support the General Manager in managing grant-related activities and reporting.

Contract & Partnership Management:

Assist in reviewing and negotiating original and syndicated content contracts. Manage agreements with network partners across multimedia plat forms.

Content & Strategy Development:

Supervise the news team to ensure content aligns with program formats and reaches designated goals. Contribute to the development of new content and overall strategic planning for JSBN.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

Provide guidance and support to the news team and other programming staff. Foster collaboration across departments to meet programming and operational objectives.

Administrative & Miscellaneous Duties:

Support the General Manager in daily operations, strategic planning, and special projects. Maintain detailed records of programming, contracts, and compliance documentation. Other duties assigned. Typical Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Management, Communications, or related fields is required. MBA or JD preferred. Prior experience in media operations, project management, or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of broadcast media, content development, and grant and legal contract management is a plus. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to lead teams and coordinate across multiple departments. Familiarity with multimedia platforms, contract review, and regulatory compliance.
