Job Description

Brown & Brown is seeking a Jr. Project Manager to join our growing team in Daytona Beach, FL . The Project Manager is responsible for leading enterprise initiatives by providing leadership and direction to assigned projects. Coordinates all project related activities and ensure successful implementation of initiative is within scope, time and budget.

How You Will Contribute:

Directs projects that may involve internal and external resources in waterfall, hybrid and or agile methodology. Creates project plans for projects assigned, manages project scope, and ensures goals and deliverables and met, in collaboration with the business and sponsor. Creates and manages the main project documentation such as the program kick-off deck, project charter, RAID log, communication plan and other project artifacts. Provides frequent monitoring and enforcement of project schedules, milestones, and vendor accountability to ensure timelines are met. Facilitates all checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects. Manges project risks and issues, takes corrective measurements by creating mitigation strategies to anticipate, assess and resolve project risks/ issues as they are encountered. Ensures assigned project adheres to project methodology and is in compliance with standards set by the company. Prepares project status reports and presents project performance updates to relevant business stakeholder. Defines and tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan. Ensures all projects meet success parameters and ROI targets stated in business case. Skills & Experience to

Be Successful:

Bachelor’s degree required; BS/BA in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or business-related discipline. 1 -2 years of IT project management experience, OR equivalent experience Ability to lead and manage both on-site and virtual project teams Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products Ability to travel for work required occasionally (up to 1 week per quarter) Ability to work independently, with limited required direction and guidance.
