Full-time Job Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven Modernization Project Manager to oversee the migration of legacy mainframe systems to AWS Cloud in support of a major public-sector transformation initiative. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing cloud transition projects and a proven track record of delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate all phases of the mainframe-to-cloud migration project Collaborate with vendors, business analysts, and technical teams Manage project scope, schedule, risks, and interdependencies Develop comprehensive project plans and status reports Communicate effectively with executive leadership and stakeholders Ensure alignment with state-level governance, security, and quality standards

Required Qualifications:

PMP or equivalent active certification (must be current) 7+ years of IT project management experience Hands-on experience with mainframe operations and cloud environments (especially AWS) Strong vendor coordination and stakeholder communication skills Experience working within state government or similar public-sector environments Proficiency with MS Office 365 Experience leading vendor-managed projects within the last 5 years

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a related field Background in Health and Human Services or eligibility systems Experience working in an enterprise outsourced IT environment Why Join Us?
