Job Description
This Opportunity WSP USA is seeking an Aviation Project Manager for our Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Internationa Airport (HJAIA) office . Be involved in projects with our A viation PM Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. Your Impact Primary point of contact with the owner, architect, contractors, special vendors, consultants and or construction management team with direct report responsibility for the assigned area of projects. Managing external design team that is responsible for all facets of design, including civil, electrical, mechanical systems, structural, and interior architectural elements. Implement the element work plan as defined by the Assistant Area Director & the Client. Manages coordination of design and construction including working closely with construction managers, contractors, governmental agencies, including municipal agencies, and the client. Confers with the Assistant Area Director to review achievements and discuss required adjustments to improve performance and profitability. Confers with the Assistant Area Director to coordinate the provision of management information services, estimating and operations support, and project controls to satisfy the needs of the element. Review all plans and specifications during all design phases, offering advice regarding systems, material, construction feasibility, availability of labor and materials, time requirements for procurement, installation and construction, relative costs, and value engineering. Properly advises the Assistant Area Director of project conditions that could hinder progress and recommends corrective actions to resolve problems. Assist and coordinate with the construction, planning and design effort with the Assistant Area Director. Manage the Engineering & Environmental Consultant (EEC) and the Task Managers responsible for project definition, program delivery of environmental clearance documents, permitting, Preliminary Engineering for Project Development (PEPD), Preliminary Engineering for Procurement (PE4P), and pre-procurement activities to support future phases of the project.
Other management requirements include:
In coordination with Project Contract Administrator (PCA) and task managers, develop and monitor scope, schedule, and budget for the delivery of the project. Manage scope, schedule, and budget change in coordination with the PCA and the Contract Manager. Coordinate the interdisciplinary team working on the section, including but not limited to: project definition, environmental, engineering and outreach. Responsible for informing the Regional Director, Regional Director of Projects, and headquarters staff in Sacramento of program status, schedule adherence, deliverable status and adequacy, and the ability to meet projected milestones. Prepare for and oversee activities following environmental clearance. Coordinate the consultant’s milestones with Project Controls, the PCA, and Contract Manager Coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team of rail delivery experts to ensure the goals and objectives of the California high-speed rail program are delivered effectively and efficiently. Provide direction to Task Managers. Serve as the key technical source for effectively presenting program implementation to all impacted stakeholders. This includes leading workshops and providing technical presentations at community meetings, local jurisdictions, federal and state review agencies, partner agencies, and other stakeholders. Oversee compliance with CHSR procedures, protocols, design standards and methodological analysis for the successful regional high-speed rail program implementation.
This includes:
Working collaboratively with the Authority’s multi-disciplinary team; including environmental, procurement, project controls, contract management, engineering and other relevant areas necessary for achieving program milestones. Who You Are Required Qualifications Degree or degrees in Project Management, Civil or Transportation Engineering, Planning, or closely related field. Minimum of 10 plus years’ experience in planning, design, construction and closeout of a large capital, multi-year construction project. Proven experience in project management roles with increasing responsibility over time. Proficiency in and knowledge of computer software applications such as Microsoft Office. Work within a multi-agency environment. Must have 10 years minimum of project management experience and managed an airport project through its completion. Airport Terminal project experience required A valid driver’s license is required Preferred Qualifications Certifications as applicable. #LI-AC1
