THE WORK

You’ll manage environmental risk evaluations, permitting, approvals, and compliance for new and existing data center developments to support timely construction and delivery.
You’ll oversee environmental due diligence during site acquisition, including site assessments, investigations, and reviews of regulatory, biological, and cultural resource factors.
You’ll lead environmental consultants to ensure timely and quality delivery of assessments, approvals, and technical reports in alignment with project needs.
You’ll develop and implement remediation strategies and oversee completion of necessary actions prior to site pre-positioning and construction.
You’ll identify permitting requirements and create delivery strategies in coordination with design, construction, EHS, operations, and permitting teams.
You’ll support regulatory, stakeholder, and community engagement efforts to enable successful permitting and project execution.
You’ll manage environmental compliance activities across pre-positioning, construction, and operational turnover phases.
You’ll contribute to the development of land development and environmental policy and strategy programs to support long-term datacenter growth.
You’ll provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders on environmental risks, permitting, and program development.
You’ll communicate environmental requirements clearly across diverse internal teams including legal, design, construction, sustainability, and operations.
Onsite at client site
: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Bachelor’s Degree AND 4+ years experience in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or program management, OR equivalent experience.
2+ years project or people management experience.
1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
4+ years of experience in environmental permitting, including environmental impact assessments, permit acquisition, new region regulatory reviews, cultural and ecological surveys and approvals, environmental due diligence and risk assessments.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE

Experience with mission critical facilities or large-scale construction projects
Experience in construction and operational environmental compliance and experience working through environmental permitting in multiple markets.
Specific knowledge of environmental permitting programs and requirements including, but not limited to air quality, threatened and endangered, USACE/404 permitting, SPCC, cultural resources, etc.
Working knowledge of remedial investigations, remediation strategies and execution, site conceptual models and site management plans and ability to develop permitting timelines, and identify permitting risks and mitigation

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, New York or Washington as set forth below.
