Role:
Lumenor Consulting Group is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support our growing Transportation Sector practice. In this role, you will assist with managing and delivering high-impact projects for public transit agencies, departments of transportation, and infrastructure clients. If you’re detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about transportation and mobility, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Support senior project managers with day-to-day project operations. Create and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets. Track project milestones, deliverables, and risks. Prepare meeting agendas, notes, and follow-up actions. Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders. Maintain accurate documentation and project files. Assist with stakeholder engagement and change management activities. Contribute to status reports and client presentations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Business, Planning, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in project coordination or entry-level project management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Experience using project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar). Familiarity with transportation or infrastructure projects is a plus. PMP or CAPM certification (or in progress) preferred.
Preferred Experience:
Previous work with transportation agencies, transit systems, or infrastructure projects. Knowledge of public sector project delivery and compliance requirements.
