Project Manager 4.9 4.9 out of 5 stars Atlanta, GA 30332 Alexander Rose is partnering with a leading General Contractor in the Southeast to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join our growing heavy civil infrastructure team in Atlanta, Georgia. This individual will play a vital role in managing all aspects of large-scale road and bridge projects from pre-construction through to final delivery.

General Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to join our team in Atlanta, GA . The ideal candidate will oversee and direct project teams on civil infrastructure projects ranging from $20 million to $100 million. This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Safety Leadership:

Champion a proactive safety culture on all job sites. Ensure compliance with safety standards, lead incident prevention efforts, and support continuous improvement toward annual safety goals.

Environmental Compliance:

Promote environmentally responsible practices and ensure adherence to environmental regulations and corporate policies across all project phases.

Quality Assurance:

Drive a culture of quality by implementing quality control plans, conducting inspections, and ensuring that project outcomes meet or exceed expectations.

Project Execution:

Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery. Coordinate daily construction activities and subcontractor performance while ensuring alignment with project goals.

Contract & Budget Management:

Administer contracts and control project budgets and cost forecasting. Monitor expenditures, approve invoices, and mitigate risk through proactive change management.

Stakeholder Coordination:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies. Facilitate clear and consistent communication between all stakeholders.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and mentor project engineers, superintendents, and support staff. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance project team environment.

Pre-Construction Planning:

Participate in pre-construction activities, including scope development, constructability reviews, and schedule development.

Schedule Management:

Develop and maintain critical path project schedules. Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely project delivery.

Innovation & Problem Solving:

Lead problem-solving efforts in the field. Identify innovative solutions that enhance project efficiency and safety.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

10+ years of progressive experience in heavy civil construction, including project management responsibilities on large road and bridge projects. Proven leadership capabilities in managing multidisciplinary teams.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, Procore, Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong knowledge of DOT standards, contract administration, and field construction methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage client relationships. Familiarity with (U)DBE requirements and public-sector contracting processes is a plus.

Physical Demands:

Ability to navigate active construction sites and work in outdoor environments. Occasional lifting of materials up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, and use of computers for documentation and communication.
