6 Months Essential Duties andResponsibilities Leads the Project Management functions andactivities. Leads projects with identifying issues and risks andensuring the issues and risk are resolved in a timely manner.
Provides leadership and mentoring on project management bestpractices (including scope, time, cost, communications and riskmanagement) for team members. Ensures that the responsibilities,authorities, and accountability of all project staff are definedand understood. Identifies cross-organizational barriers thatimpact multiple projects or programs and ensures these barriers areremoved. Works with senior management across Information Technologyand the business area(s) to accomplish this. Consults with IT andBusiness Leaders to review initial investment initiatives todetermine goals, time frame, funding limitations, procedures foraccomplishing a project, estimated staffing requirements, andallotment of resources. Ensures the accuracy and timeliness ofproject financials. Leads, directs and has full managementaccountability for staff in area of responsibility with an emphasison talent management and succession planning in accordance withcorporate strategic direction. Sets direction for projectmanagement practices, processes and procedures. Ensures consistencyof project management practices across Projects. Builds a communityof practice for all project managers. Facilitates and encouragesthe sharing and adoption of best practices and lessons learnedacross all project managers.
Additional Requirements:
Asenior-level PM with experience leading large-scalecross-functuonal projects. Must possess strong leadership,communication skills and experience working senior executives(minimum of 10-12 years). Enterprise PM experience – managingmulti-million dollar projects involving cross-functional teams,MSP’s and multiple vendors. Strong financial acumen of projectaccounting, budgeting, operational costs, accruals, capital vs.expense project activities. Ability to manage/drive multipleprojects and work streams. Technical acumen with the following is aplus: Security tool implementations and upgrades Identity AccessManagement Enterprise Change Management Skills, Knowledge andAbilities In depth technical knowledge of project managementpractices and processes. Ability to effectively interact andcommunicate with all levels of external and/or internal businesspartners within scope of responsibility, team and/or matrixenvironment. Leadership and management skills demonstratingintegrity and professionalism. Ability to drive results byidentifying and resolving problems within scope of responsibility.
Knowledge of the insurance industry, its products and services.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-relatedsoftware.

Self-directed Capable of managing ambiguityand scope creep Detail oriented Ability to understand technicalconcepts and jargon Work alongside and infuence senior executivesDrive results in a matrix structure Effective at working with andmanaging both MSP’s and vendors Education and Experience Bachelor’sdegree with Master’s preferred in a related discipline, orequivalent. Typically a minimum of 10-12 years of related workexperience, with five years management experience. Applicablecertifications preferred.
