April 21, 2025 Position Summary Seeking a hands-on Lead Project Manager to oversee key client-facing technology projects while leading a small team of project managers. This in-office role is ideal for someone who thrives on structure, execution, and direct collaboration across departments. You’ll manage your own project portfolio while coaching others, driving consistency, and ensuring high-quality outcomes across the team. The ideal candidate is a PMP-certified project leader with a strong delivery background and a passion for both execution and mentorship. You’re comfortable juggling multiple priorities, solving roadblocks in real-time, and keeping clients and internal teams aligned. From IT infrastructure and managed services to business phone systems and document solutions, you’ll play a critical role in delivering technology offerings with urgency, clarity, and accountability. Key Responsibilities Supervise and mentor a team of Technical and IT Project Managers, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development. Own the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals. Personally manage a portfolio of high-visibility technical projects, owning delivery from kickoff to close-out. Standardize and enforce project management best practices, tools, and documentation across the team. Work collaboratively across departments (Sales, Engineering, Implementation, Support) to ensure seamless execution and a positive client experience. Document and maintain functional requirements and workflows, especially those involving third-party tools or external service providers. Oversee the integration and rollout of business-critical systems including phone systems, IT infrastructure, cloud-based services, and document workflows. Identify and mitigate risks, resolve cross-project conflicts, and escalate issues as needed – with proposed solutions. Maintain full project and portfolio visibility using tracking tools, reporting dashboards, and stakeholder status updates. Support continuous improvement by analyzing project outcomes and making process, documentation, and toolset refinements. Deliver consistent executive-level updates to senior leadership on project and team performance.
What You Bring Required Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent technical/military experience). Active PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.
Required Experience & Skills:
7+ years of project management experience in a technical, IT, or service delivery environment. 2+ years of team leadership or direct people management, ideally of project managers or cross-functional teams. Proven ability to lead client-facing projects with competing deadlines, multiple stakeholders, and complex scopes. Working knowledge of telephony platforms (VoIP, UCaaS, PBX), IT infrastructure, and digital business systems. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills – comfortable handling escalations and driving alignment. Deep understanding of how to leverage project management tools for visibility, task tracking, and stakeholder updates. A proactive, solutions-first approach to problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration. Work Environment & Physical Requirements This is a full-time, in-office position. Occasional travel to customer or partner locations may be required. May require light physical activity including moving equipment or working alongside technical staff in the field (up to 60 lbs).
