Job Overview
The Senior Architect Project Manager will oversee the design and completion of architectural projects, managing teams to produce construction documents across all project phases, from pre-design to construction administration. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the firm’s quality standards, while fostering strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
Manage project teams to deliver quality construction documents that meet project requirements across all phases (pre-design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration).
Ensure projects align with client agreements, adhering to budgets, schedules, and defined expectations.
Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, to assign tasks to office staff, consultants, and vendors with respect and clarity.
Organize and lead architectural and engineering teams to execute work in a timely, coordinated manner.
Maintain positive client relationships, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing critical issues through coordination and negotiation.
Lead the generation of construction documents, ensuring adherence to design intent, detailing, and finish applications.
Support senior leadership in task delegation, quality assurance, and client presentations.
Conduct quality control reviews and participate in client meetings or presentations as needed.
Perform construction administration duties, including site visits and project oversight.
Contribute to business development efforts, including client maintenance and industry networking.
Travel occasionally as required to support project needs.
Qualifications
Must be a registered Architect in the state of Georgia.
5 years of professional experience in architectural project management, preferably in Universities, Education Facilities, Schools, or Sports Complex projects.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; working knowledge of graphic programs (e.g., SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
Knowledge of building codes and industry standards required.
Strong organizational and customer service skills to manage complex projects and client relationships.
Ability to lead and mentor teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
