- Position may be filled at Project Manager I or II (118 or 120) and retains promotion potential to Project Manager III, Labor Grade 124 SUMMARY The Project Manager I (Project Engineer), II (Assistant Project Manager) or III (Project Manager) work under the direct supervision of the Director and is responsible for the completion of special projects as assigned.
Project Manager I (Project Engineer) and II (Assistant Project Manager) positions are designed to train and develop the incumbent in preparation for career advancement to the full performance level, which is Project Manager III (Project Manager). Employees selected at the developmental levels have non-competitive promotion potential to the full performance level, Project Manager III (Project Manager).
MAJOR DUTIES
Responsible for effectively managing projects as directed by the Manager Coordinates internal and external resources to ensure seamless project implementation Assists in defining project scopes, objectives, and specifications Successfully manages stakeholder and vendor relationships Measures project performance against approved metrics Maintains project documentation and regularly reports results to administration, Parish Council, other departments, etc. Appropriately responds to complaints related to area of expertise Assists co-workers in the completion of daily departmental business May be required to serve on boards or commissions related to area of competency Any other duties as assigned
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience :
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university in a related field and (2) years directly related experience is fully qualifying, or
Combined Secondary Education and Experience:
(6) years combined progressively higher-level education (post high school) leading to a bachelor’s degree and directly related experience is fully qualifying, or
Directly Related Experience:
(6) years higher-level, directly related experience Developmental Level Minimum Qualification Requirements

Education and Experience :
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university in a related field and (1) year directly related experience is fully qualifying, or

- The incumbent is subject to a pre-employment physical and drug screens with random drug testing thereafter.
The incumbent must have the ability to obtain and maintain all PMP certifications within a year of hire.
