Project Manager III Position Available In Calcasieu, Louisiana

Job Description:

The Project Manager would manage both capital and turnaroundprojects. Specific turnaround need is for a fall sulfur recoveryunit turnaround – mechanical focus.

Responsibilities May Include:

Â

• Assembling and leading a full-time team to effectively executethe project. Â
• Overseeing the preparation and implementation ofthe Project Execution Plan Â
• Leading the FEL process, completinggate reviews, and obtaining management approvals Â
• Leading theContracting Strategy effort, managing the contractor evaluation,bid and award process. Â
• Managing cost, schedule, procurement, andthe billing payables groups Â
• Interviewing and approving personnelfrom the contractor’s organization Â
• Understanding contracts andmanaging contractors to maximize performance, controlling costs andminimizing claims and change orders. Â
• Setting up projectfacilities at site and in the contractor’s office Â
• Setting safetyexpectations for the project and leading the team to achieve safetygoals. Â
• Ensuring plant Operations and Maintenance personal areengaged and that they understand their responsibilities. Â
• Ensuring that proper schedules are issued, reviewed, and used todrive Project performance. Â
• Ensuring the accuracy of the costestimate as well as monthly cash flow forecasts Â
• Setting upprograms to manage vendors, fabricators, and any required specialtycontractors. Â
• Ensuring that quality processes are followed. Â
• Developing, gaining approval for, and managing to project KPI’s andmetrics Â
• Leading development of a risk management plan Â
• Preparing and giving presentations to various levels of the Companyand other stakeholders Â
• Timely and efficiently closing out of theproject.

Basic/Required:

Bachelor’sDegree or higher in Engineering. Â

• Must have prior experiencemanaging both capital and turnaround projects. Specific turnaroundneed is for a fall sulfur recovery unit turnaround – mechanicalfocus. Â
• 10 or more years of project management experience workingin the oil and gas or petrochemical industry. Â
• 5 or more years ofexperience working as a Project Manager with sole accountabilityfor the project.

• 10 or more years of experienceworking as a Project Manager with sole accountability for theproject Â
• Working knowledge of industry recommended practices,design methods and QA/QC requirements Â
• Working knowledge offederal, state and local regulations, industry standards and DOTrequirements Â
• Experience managing engineering and constructioncontractors and multiple project teams Â
• Licensed ProfessionalEngineer Â
