EXCEL Group is seeking an experienced E & I Project Controls Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining project controls processes; ensuring efficient planning, monitoring, and execution of projects.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for industrial construction projects. Establish and implement project controls procedures, including cost estimation, progress tracking, risk management, and performance measurement. Monitor project progress, analyze deviations from plans, and provide regular status updates to management and project teams. Manage the change management process by assessing scope changes, evaluating their impact on schedule and budget, and communicating changes to relevant parties. Develop and maintain project cost control systems, including tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Monitor resource allocation and utilization, ensuring that the project stays within resource limits. Analyze project risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues. Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to support project schedules. Prepare and present project performance reports to management, highlighting key metrics, progress, and potential challenges. Participate in project meetings and provide expertise on project controls-related matters. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations throughout project execution.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus. Proven experience as a Project Controls Specialist in industrial contracting or construction projects. Strong understanding of project management principles, including scheduling, cost control, risk management, and change management. Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project, Excel). Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret and present data effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with project teams and stakeholders. Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of industrial construction processes, procedures, and safety regulations.
