WHC Energy Services – A Surerus Murphy Company (WHC), is seeking a Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship Coordinator. This role plays a key part in driving operational excellence and ensuring full compliance with prevailing wage and apprentice requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing wage data, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to support seamless project delivery. This position requires a strong focus on strategic verification, cross-functional collaboration with field staff, and advanced data analysis to ensure apprenticeship and project compliance at every stage. The role demands a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to navigating complex regulatory requirements and optimizing project outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
: Strategically coordinate with project teams to assess and forecast labor needs by Trade Classification, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. Drive the planning and communication of workforce requirements, anticipating project timelines and optimizing resource allocation to meet project demands. Take ownership of reviewing, correcting, and managing Trade Codes within field documentation and payroll systems to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. Lead efforts in producing and reconciling Certified Payrolls, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in alignment with legal and contractual obligations. Spearhead the development and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline operations and ensure best practices across projects. Oversee subcontractor adherence to apprenticeship, prevailing wage, and payroll requirements, addressing compliance gaps and driving accountability. Manage the upload, review, and presentation of project data to owners and stakeholders, providing actionable insights and updates on project progress. Lead pre-project tasks such as conducting wage surveys, wage conformance evaluations, and overseeing subcontractor onboarding to ensure smooth project initiation. Direct audits and reviews of project records to ensure compliance with IRS regulations, project owner specifications, and prevailing wage laws. Stay at the forefront of industry changes, including evolving prevailing wage laws and regulations, particularly for IRA projects. Implement and communicate updates to compliance processes as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
: Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management or related field. Experience Experience in data analysis and document management. Preference with construction-related field and/or management experience. Prior experience working with an apprenticeship program and/or handling of PW-related requirements is highly preferred. Skills and Knowledge Understanding of prevailing wage laws, : and IRA-specific regulations is considered an asset. Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills. Proficient in Excel, including formula creation for productivity. Ability to handle confidential information with care. Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple tasks. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Demonstrated ability to identify issues, apply critical thinking to analyze root causes, and devise effective solutions that address challenges and align with business objectives.
WORKING CONDITIONS
: This position is office based and works out of the Broussard, LA office. Occasional travel to project sites is required.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
: The Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship Coordinator reports to the Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship Manager.
