ABOUT THE ROLE

Manages projects from planning through delivery. Liaises betweenproject members, cross-functional teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables,requirements, schedules, cost, and meeting plans are communicated. Utilizes appropriate tools to plan projecttimelines, tasks, milestones, and deadlines. Communicates schedule and changes to all stakeholders.

Plans and facilitates project meetings to align the project team to methods and goals and to track projecttasks. Prepares agendas, meeting notes, and project summaries. Monitors task completion status to identifyat risk project tasks and to develop mitigation plans. Allocates resources, budgets, and hours to theproject and adjusts allocations when neccessary.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

Support the Senior Project Manager in managing the full projectlifecycle, including engineering, construction, commissioning, andhandover of industrial facilities related to ponded ashbeneficiation. Utilize SAP to track and manage project budgets, ensuring costsare within allocated limits and preparing financial reports. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using MicrosoftProject, tracking all phases of project delivery, from design andconstruction to commissioning and operational handover. Assist in the coordination of construction activities, ensuringthat work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliancewith safety and quality standards. Support commissioning efforts, ensuring that systems andfacilities are tested and verified according to designspecifications and operational requirements. Prepare regular project progress reports, covering schedule,budget, and project status, and present findings to stakeholdersand senior management. Monitor and track project risks, including schedule delays,cost overruns, and technical challenges, and assist in developingmitigation strategies. Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operationsteams to ensure seamless communication and coordination across allproject phases. Help facilitate regular project meetings, documenting actionitems, and ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding tasks. Ensure the proper handover of projects to operations teams,ensuring all required documentation and training are completed forongoing operation and maintenance. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving andadhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all workenvironments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibitthese behaviors.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, ConstructionManagement, or a related field or 5yrs of equivalentexperience.

Additional Education Preferred:

Project management certifications(e.g., PMP, CAPM) or equivalent experience is an addedadvantage..

Required Work Experience:

Previous experience with industrialfacilities, especially in the areas of environmental engineering orbeneficiation systems. Experience in the commissioning and handoverprocess of large-scale projects to operations teams. Knowledge ofhealth, safety, and environmental regulations in industrial projectsettings. Familiarity with project management methodologies. Projectmanagement certifications (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or equivalentexperience is an added advantage.

Licenses Preferred:

Project management certifications (e.g., PMP,CAPM)

Required Computer and Software Skills:

Proficient in MicrosoftOffice Suite, Google platform, and facility management softwarepreferred.

Travel Requirements:

Less than 20%

Additional Requirements:

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols andproper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment(“PPE”), including but not limited to respirators. Employees thatare required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where therespirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative andquantitative fit tests.
