About the Role The Project Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and executing various electric utility projects from inception to completion. This role demands a proactive and organized professional with exceptional leadership, communication, and technical skills. This position will work in New Orleans area. Key Responsibilities Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines. Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to assign tasks and responsibilities. Monitor project progress in Primavera 6, identify potential roadblocks, and implement effective solutions. Ensure adherence to industry best practices, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Prepare project budgets and cost estimates, tracking expenses throughout the project lifecycle. Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions. Continuously assess project risks and make data-driven decisions to overcome challenges. Implement contingency plans to address unforeseen circumstances and maintain project momentum. Delegate tasks, set clear expectations, and provide guidance to team members. Conduct regular performance evaluations, mentorship, and professional development initiatives. Key Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field. Proven experience (3+ years) as a Project Manager (preferably in the electric utility industry or a related field). In-depth knowledge of electric utility systems, equipment, and infrastructure. Demonstrated success in managing financials; Proficient in Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Power BI Schedule and change control, involving project sponsor and stakeholders. Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools like P6, and techniques. Excellent Customer and Executive Management relationship skills Ability to make informed decisions under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and facilitate focused and cross-functional meetings and calls.
