Job Description
Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking Project Manager candidates for a tank farm repair/restoration project at a chemical plant in Hahnville LA. The overall responsibility of this role is to drive the execution of the project while fostering a culture of safety and ensuring stakeholder alignment from initial planning through completion.
Job Responsibilities:
Safety Leadership:
Champion site safety and regulatory compliance
Project Oversight:
Manage construction activities from mobilization to completion
Contractor Supervision:
Ensure contractor performance meets project standards and contract obligations
Planning & Constructability:
Provide input during design and support work breakdown, scheduling, and resource planning.
Cost & Schedule Control:
Monitor budgets, manage change orders, and track schedule adherence
Quality Assurance:
Oversee inspection/testing and ensure compliance with specifications and codes
Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the on-site liaison for contractors, engineers, and regulatory bodies
Risk Mitigation:
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
Reporting:
Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular updates to leadership
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Science, or related field (or equivalent field experience) PMP, CCM, or other professional project management certification is preferred 15+ years of progressive project management experience focused on projects in the process industry Candidates having worked at the Dow Chemical plant are highly preferred Strong knowledge of construction best practices, safety protocols, and project delivery methods Demonstrated success managing complex, multidisciplinary projects from concept through commissioning Proficiency with tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills This is a 4-6 month project with a Monday-Friday, 10 hours per day, work schedule. Pay rate is commensurate upon applicable education and experience.
