Program:
Culture for Climate Action, UMass Arts Extension Service.
Location:
Hybrid Remote with ability to travel to occasional in person meetings in Central/Western Massachusetts.
Employment Type:
15-month Contract, Part-Time (approx. 10 hours/week, 650 hours total), grant-funded, with possibility of extension and increased hours if project funding is extended. Total contract value not to exceed $23,000.

Program:
Culture for Climate Action is an initiative that harnesses the power of arts, culture, andmunity engagement to address climate change. Through creative collaborations, public outreach, and sustainable practices, the program aims to inspire action and policy change while integrating cultural perspectives into climate solutions.
Position Summary:
The Project Coordinator will play a key role in the planning, execution, and monitoring of activities within the Culture for Climate Action program. This individual will support project logistics,munications, and reporting to ensure the successful implementation of program initiatives. This is a grant-funded position that will require in-person participation at two (2) program events in Western Mass and occasional staff meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination & Implementation:
Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of program activities, events, and campaigns.
Coordinate logistics for workshops, networking events, andmunity engagement activities.
Support the development of project timelines, work plans, and deliverables.
Track progress and ensure project milestones are met within scope, time, and budget.
Communication & Outreach:
Assist in creation of marketing materials, newsletters, social media content, and reports.
Assist with event promotions and public relations efforts in collaboration with the project consultant and leadership team.
Document program activities and success stories to showcase impact. Administrative & ing
Duties:
Maintain accurate records, files, and databases related to project activities.
Prepare progress reports, funding proposals, and grant documentation as needed.

Qualifications:
Qualifications & Skills:
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in project management, sustainability, environmental studies, arts management, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in project coordination, preferably in cultural or environmental programs.
Flexible schedule
- able to amodate varying meeting times and events.
Stronganizational and time management skills.
Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and project management tools.
Desirable:
Master’s degree in project management, sustainability, environmental studies, arts administration, or a related field.
Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
Experience working with artsanizations, climate advocacy groups, ormunity-based programs.
Knowledge of sustainability practices and climate action strategies.
Familiarity with grant writing and fundraising processes.
Event planning experience.
