Assistant Project Manager 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Woburn, MA 01801 Our client, a Woburn, MA based company in the construction and installation space is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join their team on a direct hire basis as soon as possible. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting project management activities and you will assist in coordinating various aspects of project execution, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within scope. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills and a solid understanding of construction/installation processes. Duties Oversee the coordination of designated company projects Define and clarify the project scope with the client at the outset Supervise engineering and procurement to ensure accuracy in drawings, materials, and schedules Review and verify shop drawings, order acknowledgments, and product data submissions Manage and coordinate workforce scheduling for project execution Maintain proactive communication with field operations to organize installation teams and subcontractors Enhance project profitability by collaborating with the purchasing department to evaluate buyout options Participate in project turnover meetings to ensure precise communication, scope definition, and clear role assignments Collaborate with accounting and estimating teams to confirm the accuracy of cost assessments Maintain regular communication with project team members to track contract status and progress Monitor purchase and delivery schedules to ensure timely project completion Oversee job completion processes to achieve zero punch list items and prevent return site visits Provide field support to project managers, including site surveys, dimensional verifications, and punch list management Maintain thorough documentation of job notes and correspondence Prepare and process Requests for Information (RFIs) Experience Minimum of three years of experience in construction administration Ability to travel in the New England area to client sites upwards of 50% of the time High school diploma required; a four-year college degree is preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong ability to interpret and understand spatial relationships and design concepts Capability to lift 50+ lbs. using proper lifting techniques Must maintain a safe and clean driving record Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently Strong multitasking skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively Excellent professional communication and customer service skills Background in finance or accounting is a plus Familiarity with Timberline is also a plus If interested in this Assistant Project Manager where you can contribute your expertise while growing your career in a supportive environment focused on excellence in construction management, please apply to this position today or call JMT Staffing Solutions at 781-558-2589.
