- Ongoing training, career advancement programs, tuition reimbursement, and leadership development The NAN Project, a division of Eliot, is seeking a Peer Coordinator to join their team of positive, service oriented individuals.
The NAN Project is a mental health awareness and suicide prevention program for young adults. This position requires the individual to coordinate and provide unwavering support to peers in our community of schools.
Responsibilities:
Build connections in the Greater Boston area by engaging with schools and youth-serving organizations, promoting The NAN Project’s mission Recruit and empower
Peer Mentors:
Identify and train young adults with lived mental health experience to share their stories of hope and resilience, in both English and Spanish. Actively reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and educate students about mental health challenges and recovery Collaborate with peer mentors to present engaging lessons on mental health challenges and resilience in classrooms across Massachusetts Provide strength-based feedback on peer mentors’ stories and presentations Facilitate training and team-building activities for peer mentors, and prepare content and materials for workshops, training, presentations, or events.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the mental health field Ability to create connections and develop strong relationships with community organizations. Passion for promoting mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
