The project Manager of ERP and Job Costing is responsible for leading the successful implementation and optimization of the company’s ERP system, with a strong emphasis on job costing functionality. This role ensures accurate tracking of labor, materials, and overhead costs at the job level to support operational efficiency and financial visibility. The ERP Project Manager works cross-functionally with production, finance, procurement, and engineering teams to integrate workflows, support real-time data visibility, and drive business process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, manage, and lead the ERP system implementation with a specific focus on accurate and detailed job costing functionality. Work with internal stakeholders to define job costing requirements, including cost drivers, labor tracking, material allocation, and overhead absorption. Translate business needs into ERP system configurations and workflows that support project-level cost tracking and profitability analysis. Manage project scope, timeline, and budget, ensuring delivery on-time and within financial parameters. Coordinate with ERP vendors, consultants, and internal departments to ensure seamless system integration. Develop and execute a comprehensive data migration plan, ensuring accurate transfer of historical job costing and financial data. Convert current work instructions and travelers to ensure they are accurate. Document changes if required, then convert to ERP routing and Work Instruction Software Create routing of products throughout the manufacturing process utilizing ERP (ECI Joboss2) estimating software. Create work instructions using (VKS) work instruction software Ensure ERP modules related to manufacturing, inventory, purchasing, and finance are properly integrated with the job costing system. Provide training and support to finance, production, and project management teams on ERP job costing tools and reporting features. Establish reporting and dashboards to monitor job profitability, variance analysis, and cost performance. Drive continuous improvement in cost tracking, estimation, and post-job review processes post-implementation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. 5+ years of ERP implementation or administration experience, including at least 2 years leading projects with job costing functionality. Strong knowledge of ERP systems used in manufacturing (e.g., JobBOSS², Epicor, NetSuite, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics). Deep understanding of job costing principles , including labor tracking, materials consumption, and overhead application. Experience working with finance and operations teams to align accounting and manufacturing workflows.
