Salary and Benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MEA Administrators Unit. Pay range is mid-50s to low 60s range. This is a grant-funded position contingent upon continued federal funding through the TRIO program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Write, manage, and evaluate all aspects of the TRIO grant to ensure alignment with federal guidelines and performance objectives
Supervise and support TRIO staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
Oversee daily operations of the TRIO program, including budgeting, compliance, and coordination of services
Design and implement academic support services tailored to the needs of eligible students, including tutoring, study skills workshops, financial literacy, and career/transfer counseling
Monitor and assess student academic performance, providing individualized interventions and progress tracking
Collaborate with faculty, advisors, and student services to identify and refer students who qualify for TRIO services
Serve as the primary liaison with external agencies, community partners, and other TRIO programs statewide
Promote program visibility on campus through outreach, events, and informational sessions
Develop and conduct program evaluations to assess effectiveness and make data-informed improvements

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in education or related field
4 or more years’ experience with a variety of support activities such as federal grant management, academic evaluation, academic advising
At least four years of professional experience supporting academically at-risk students, preferably within a TRIO or similar program.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience in program development, course selection and academic placement
Experience in a supervisory role
Experience in grant writing or student advising
Familiarity with educational issues facing low-income, first-generation students and/or diverse populations. Why work for the Maine Community College System?
