Construction Job Description:
A growing construction firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a variety of projects, including educational, industrial, commercial, multifamily, and mixed-use developments. The successful candidate will manage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, budgets, and timelines, while coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities of a Project Manager –
Construction:
Define and evaluate project scope and objectives.
Develop and manage construction project budgets.
Create and maintain construction schedules using Microsoft Project, including coordinating subcontractors and updating timelines.
Prepare and administer subcontracts; oversee resource allocation for materials, labor, and equipment to ensure timely delivery aligned with work schedules.
Conduct procurement activities, including material buyouts.
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, back charges, payment applications, and delay claims.
Collaborate with on-site personnel, subcontractors, inspectors, and architects to resolve issues and ensure construction methods meet specifications.
Inspect ongoing work to ensure compliance with specifications and adherence to schedules.
Prepare closeout documentation for project stakeholders. Qualifications for a Project Manager –
Construction:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Solid knowledge of construction management practices.
5+ years of experience in project management working commercial job sites
Familiarity with Procore is a plus.
Valid driver’s license.
