They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.
Areas of Responsibility:
Development of new opportunities
- the PM will support the Business Development Organization by working with 1Lift customers (sales professionals) to survey and document new project opportunities. Business Development relationships and networking
- the PM will support the Business Development Organization by developing and maintaining professional relationships with multiple sales professionals within the 1Lift customer base and will work to expand 1Lift’s reputation and opportunities with new prospects. Professional Development
- the PM is responsible for identifying and participating in continued education opportunities that will allow 1Lift to stay ahead of its competition by maintaining expertise in regional and national codes and regulations (IBC, NFPA, ASME, NEC, etc.). Subcontractor relationships and networking
- the PM is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with multiple subcontractors which 1Lift will utilize (or may utilize) to perform the scope of work required on the projects that have been awarded. Customer relationships and networking
- the PM is responsible for developing and maintaining great working relationships with 1Lift’s customer Mechanics, Superintendents, Project Managers and others that are working on awarded projects. Project Management
- the PM is responsible for managing many (30+) 1Lift projects at any point in time.
Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to weekly status reports, regular project site visits, oversight of procurement activities performed by the Operations organization, working with Accounting to ensure regular invoicing and appropriate cash flow, daily coordination of multiple subcontractors, etc. Quality Management
- the PM is responsible for ensuring the work that 1Lift’s subcontractors perform is always done professionally and with great quality. The PM will closeout every job with a quality punch list and require 1Lift sub-contractors to reperform any work that does not meet 1Lift quality standards or requirements by the Area Having Jurisdiction. Health, Safety, and Environmental Management
- the PM will support the Operations Organization by ensuring the work that 1Lift’s subcontractors perform is always done in a safe manner and champions both 1Lift and customer requirements.
The PM will embrace best practices and assist 1Lift in the continued development of its HSE standards. The PM will also perform random safety audits to ensure the proper use of PPE and that 1Lift subcontractors are adhering to 1Lift and their own HSE requirements. Travel
- The PM will be required to travel overnight on behalf of the company for both prospective projects and active projects across the nation, especially the mid-west region.
This travel may be by automobile or plane depending on the situation. This overnight travel is not expected to ever surpass more than 50% of any given month. Some days there will be daily travel requirements throughout Kansas and Missouri and its neighboring states. Daily travel constitutes leaving and returning to your home residence in the same day. Physical Requirements
- The PM will be required to stand, walk, sit, climb, and crawl for prolonged periods time; talk or hear, both in person and by phone and/or computer; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up-to 100 pounds.
Qualifications Education:
Minimum requirement Associates Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred
Preferred Certifications:
PMP or equivalent project management training, NICET, apprentice or journeyman electrician Strong business acumen in project planning and management Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills Experience managing specialty trade contractors (ie. electrical, fire alarm, mechanical, etc.) as well as interfacing with operations and sales executives Experience installing electrical and fire alarm systems
