Special Projects Coordinator 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 706 Hwy 90, Waveland, MS 39576 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Special Projects Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support the organization’s sustainability and growth by coordinating fundraising initiatives, donor engagement, and communications/marketing initiatives. This position is also responsible for supporting the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accurate record-keeping, financial reporting, and compliance with grant and funding requirements. The role provides essential administrative and bookkeeping support to maintain the financial health of the organization while assisting with budgeting and audit preparation. Responsibilities Financial Management & Bookkeeping Assist in managing day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable Process approved invoices payments and reimbursements in a timely and accurate manner Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with CAC policies and grant regulations Assist in preparing documentation for audits, financial reviews, and monthly reconciliations Funding and Donor Management Assist in developing and implementing an annual fundraising plan, including donor cultivation events, corporate partnerships, and grant opportunities Coordinate donor stewardship efforts, including acknowledgement letters, impact reports, and appreciation events. Maintain donor database and records to track contributions, engagement, and communications. Plan and execute fundraising events, including logistics, sponsorship outreach, and volunteer coordination. Assist with financial aspects of fundraising events, including tracking sponsorships and expenses. Create marketing and outreach materials to promote initiatives and CAC programs. Develop and foster relationships with local businesses, foundations, and community stakeholders. Maintain and update the organization’s website and social media platforms Experience Bachelor’s degree required (preferred business, marketing, finance, communications, psychology, or social work) Preferred two-year experience in communications, marketing, and/or business/finance Strong attention to detail and organization skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to productively engage with other team/board members, donors, and community supporters Ability to think creatively and strategically; use independent judgement while working in a changing environment Computer skills to include knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Teams, Canva, QuickBooks Online, and social media platforms Ability to pass a drug screen and background check A valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance If you are passionate about Child Abuse Prevention and making a positive impact in your community, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
