About the Position
The Mississippi Department of Archives and History seeks a development projects manager to serve in the Administration Division. This fundraising professional is responsible for supporting the execution of high-level development efforts for both the Department of Archives and History and the Foundation for Mississippi History. The position supports the director of development in securing funding for major capital projects and institutional initiatives. Key responsibilities include developing fundraising strategies, cultivating donor relationships, and representing the agency to philanthropic partners. The development projects manager leads efforts to align funding opportunities with agency priorities and helps shape compelling, mission-driven cases for support. This is a creative and strategic role with significant responsibility for donor engagement and relationship management.
