About the Position Third-level Project Management accountable for managing projects which are highly complex in nature and that have a statewide enterprise impact. Due to the nature of these projects, this level of work is likely to be found in the State’s central office or the largest and most complex agencies. The projects managed at this level are the largest in terms of size, scope, complexity, and impact on the State. Projects are typically multi-year and multi-faceted. Responsible for project planning; overseeing activities of the project team; identifying appropriate resources needed; and developing project plans, timelines, and accountabilities. Must be familiar with project scope and objectives as well as role of each team member and/or sub project managers. Accountable for developing project deliverables and measuring project outcomes. Frequent interaction with business owners, managers, and other stakeholders. Reports directly to the Director of Bureau of Building, Grounds and Real Property Management. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs through organization and direction of work by providing managerial support. Responsible for formulating project plans that meet project objectives while adhering to an approved budget and timeline. Schedules meetings with team members and regularly communicates with professionals to ensure that project budgets, schedules and scopes are being timely and effectively completed while also ensuring that all statutory pay requirements are consistently and successfully being accomplished. Reviews workload charts and time sheets and reallocates resources as needed based upon project deadlines and time expectations. Monitors project scopes, costs, schedules, staffing, communications, professionals, contractors and contractual deliverables. Addresses internal or external issues that may impede project delivery and develop solutions to maintain project timelines. Collects data, reports processes to capture key metrics of project activities and completes periodic reporting requirements. Reviews contract proposals for verification and compliance with all purchasing laws and rules related to solicitations, advertisements and bidding processes. Coordinates execution of contracts between professionals, contractors and DFA staff to ensure timely and successful completion of projects. What you’ll need to be Successful Candidates should have competences such as strong interpersonal skills, multitasking, organizational skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, high degree of accuracy, ability to handle information of a confidential nature, and analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience.

Agency Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of eight years of experience in construction project management. Requires use of project management software, including experience and/or knowledge in using BRICKS, Word, and Excel.
