Job Description:
Vertex Professional Services is seeking a highly motivated Learning and Development Project Manager to lead a high visibility internal leadership program for a Fortune 100 company. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of program management, including course development, implementation, budget, scheduling, deliverables, profit and loss, customer relationships, and coordination of a matrixed staff.
This position requires strong leadership and consistent engagement across all levels of both internal and client organizations.
Responsibilities:
Oversee full lifecycle project management: Business development, course development, implementation, budgeting, scheduling, deliverables, profit and loss, and staff managementBuild and maintain strong customer relationships through strategic consultation, partnership, and thought leadershipCollaborate with the client in annual planning to define strategic objectives, improvement plans, faculty needs, scheduling, and delivery locationsManage and optimize class and student management systems, including licensing, system upgrades, and the deployment of new technology solutionsLead or support capture and proposal development effortsDraft, present and execute Statements of Work, Technical Service Agreements, and related account growth documentsDevelop and maintain a multi-year strategic roadmap for the programDrive continuous improvement and lead organizational change effortsEnsure compliance with client organization policies and procedures, supporting process workflow and governanceSupporting business growth within the program, identifying and acting on opportunities for expansionTravel (including international) is required 25-35%
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 6 years of project management experience, with demonstrated people management and communication skills.
Demonstrated experience managing multi-year, complex programs with annual revenue between $1M to $3MExperience in the learning/talent development industryInnovative mindset with experience generating cutting edge adult learning solutions and approachesStrategic planning and execution, critical thinking and presentation skillsExceptional organizational skills and attention to follow-throughSystems-level thinker with ability to integrate and leverage cross-functional resourcesWorking knowledge of MS Office Suite, including ProjectFamiliarity with change management tools and strategies to drove adoption of project initiativesDemonstrated ability to influence without authority, in a matrixed environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing commercial, government, or military programsSix Sigma and/or PMP certificationExperience with SharePoint, and Adobe AcrobatTechnologically fluent with comfort adopting new tools
Required Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent required. Will consider eight years of professional experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
